The Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars of the Soviet Union (Stalin) to President Truman

I thank you for the message of December 8, 1945.77 You can be sure that I should like to cooperate with you as well so that the forthcoming Conference of the three Ministers in Moscow would give desirable results in the interests of our common cause.

I shall be in Moscow in the nearest future and I am ready to converse with Mr. Byrnes with full frankness.
