Sir: The department acknowledges the receipt of your dispatch, No. 232, of the 3d instant, in which you report that the President of Mexico has granted the extradition of Heliodoro Garcia, who is charged with assault with intent to commit murder, and who is wanted by the authorities of the State of California.

A copy of your dispatch has been forwarded to the governor of California for his information.
