Chargé Monroe to the Secretary of State.

[Telegram—Paraphrase.]

Mr. Monroe says all wounded have been brought to San Jose and that he has disbursed part of Red Cross funds for blankets for them and to aid temporary hospital and that there is sufficient money for present use. States he is informed by Panama authorities of arrival of 250 tents and 500 blankets. Adds that the rainy season has begun, that zinc and lumber for temporary shelter is scarce, but that local permanent charitable organization has affairs well regulated.
