Thai representative joint committee today gave first indication Thai willingness participate evacuation south group suggesting committee receive evacuees Burma, impound arms Thai side border when operation begins. Foreign Office awaiting committee recommendations, expects government will approve provided safety guarantees sufficient. Burmese extended ceasefire Palu area through 30 April requesting Foreign Forces refrain from attacks on GUB forces from area. GUB still considering Myawadi safety corridor request.2 Approval would facilitate committee action.3
