153. Obviously news of meetings North Atlantic group has spread (see our 149, January 19). Philippine Counselor informs us Burmese Ambassador called meeting 19th Egyptian, Indian and Philippine Ambassadors to discuss Foreign Office request removal Canton. Each agreed recommend his government that Ambassador remain Nanking, sending senior subordinate Canton after Chinese Government had effectively removed there.
