[At the Tripartite Conference of Berlin, July 17 to August 2, 1945, agreement was reached on the political and economic principles of a coordinated Allied policy toward defeated Germany during the period of Allied control. An agreement between the Governments of the United States, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, and the Provisional Government of the French Republic on certain additional requirements to be imposed on Germany was signed ad referendum on July 25, 1945, at a meeting of the European Advisory Commission at London.
