590. Department’s 444, March 26, 8 p.m. Having ascertained that Ibn Saud is at or near Riyadh,⁶¹ I propose to leave for Saudi Arabia via Bahrein within a week’s time provided airplane travel can be arranged. Hare⁶² and Rountree will accompany me.

Am gratified that prospects of obtaining irrigation machinery for Saudi Arabia are favorable.
