The Department is planning to instruct you shortly to proceed with the least possible delay to Algiers in order to pursue further the conversations which you have had with General Weygand on the subject of economic cooperation with French Africa. Please inform Algiers by telegraph of your contemplated arrival, with the request that General Weygand be apprized of the purpose of your visit.
