  1. Raymond E. Cox, First Secretary of Legation in Norway. Cox was signing for the Ambassador, Mrs. Florence J. Harriman, who after the German invasion of Norway entered Sweden on April 10, 1940.
  2. In telegram No. 291, May 6, the Chargé in Norway informed the Department that this estimate was 300, not 30, but had then been reduced to 250 (340.1115A/579).
