The Foreign Office spokesman today told newspapermen that although the Foreign Office lacks official information about the reported speech of last week in London by Premier Lyons of Australia with regard to a nonaggression pact for nations around the Pacific, as a fundamental idea Japan has no objection to participation. The spokesman added that Japan’s attitude cannot be stated until details of the proposal are learned.
