German interests

Note.—Upon information from the German Embassy, and from representatives of the United States, action was taken by this Government in behalf of German subjects and interests, in the form of representations to the Mexican authorities in the district concerned, at the following places: San Bias; Naica; Monterey, Magdalena, Vera Cruz, Colima, Mazatlan, Guadalajara, Manzanillo, Coyoacan, Merida, San Luis Potosí, Tepic, Saltillo, Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, Rio Blanco, Durango, and Mexico City. These representations were supplemented by such local assistance as it was possible for the representatives of this Government to render to any foreigner in Mexico, which was limited in the case of all foreigners as indicated in the following letter, which was sent also, mutatis mutandis, to the Spanish, French, Italian and British Embassies at Washington.
