Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge with thanks the receipt of the Minister’s note of the 22d ultimo, in which he encloses for the information of the Department a record of the minutes [etc.].

The Department notes that since July 13 of this year there has been no exchange of views between the Plenipotentiaries other than the exchange shown in the remarks recorded under date of August 8 last, enclosed by Señor Peynado as enclosures two and three in his note.
