The Secretary of State to the Minister Resident in Saudi Arabia (Moose)
Washington, April
25, 1944—8 p.m.
69. During your forthcoming talks with the King you may state, if it appears advisable to do so, as suggested in your 116, April 20, 1 p.m., that if King Ibn Saud would like to have American advisers in a military, financial or other capacity, sympathetic consideration will be given to his request.
It appears desirable that Eddy remain in Riyadh if it is feasible to arrange for him to do so.
