The Chilean Ambassador, Señor Don Manuel Trucco, came to see me twice recently, on Thursday and Friday. He was very vague as to exactly what he wanted on Thursday, but on Friday he came out with it. His Government wants to know what would be our attitude I if various Latin American countries decided to recognize the Grau San Martín Government before the Montevideo Conference convenes.
