5785. American interests Far East, exchange. Legation’s 5724, 14th.38 Foreign Office note September 16 states Japanese Legation Bern note of September 15 quoted following telegram from Japanese Government:
“Teia Maru sailed from Yokohama for Marmagão via Kobe, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Northern San Fernando, Cap St. Jacques and Syonan as scheduled on September 14 at 1 a.m. Safe conduct assured by all belligerents.”
