1049. My 1000 March 23, 4 p.m. The police of the Federal District have now in custody nearly 200 Axis suspects which number includes the four espionage rings. The Rio police told me that the premature release of these arrests to the press was brought about by their desire to beat the São Paulo police to the press.
Please inform Federal Bureau of Investigation immediately.
