15. For previous correspondence concerning the situation in St. Pierre-Miquelon, see Foreign Relations, 1941, vol. ii, pp. 540 ff. The British Prime Minister, Winston S. Churchill, came to Washington for conferences with President Roosevelt, December 22, 1941–January 14, 1942, interrupted by trips to Ottawa and Palm Beach. The question of the seizure of St. Pierre-Miquelon came up in these discussions. Correspondence relating to this Washington Conference is scheduled for publication in a subsequent volume of Foreign Relations.
