The Secretary of State to the British Ambassador.

My Dear Mr. Ambassador: As the Counsellor of our Embassy was told last evening, I yesterday signed with General Paredes, the Special Minister of Honduras, a convention to secure the loan which it is expected will in the near future be made to refund the debt of Honduras, and in view of the interest of the Council of Foreign Bondholders, I have cabled our Embassy at London to give this information to the British Foreign Office.
