Sir: The department has received your No. 150 of the 31st ultimo, reporting the action taken by you to obtain compliance with the orders of the Sultan of Morocco to permit the missionaries of the Gospel Missionary Union to obtain a domicile in the Moorish part of Mequinez.

The president of the union has been advised of your action, the result of which is awaited by the department.
