President Taft to the President of the Argentine Republic.

[Telegram.]

In the name of the Government and people of the United States and in my own I send cordial felicitations on this centennial anniversary of the birth of your great nation. The United States of America has observed with sympathetic interest the marvelous development of the Argentine Republic, not only in material things, but in the highest aims of nations, and it is our hearty wish that this sister Republic of the south may ever flourish and prosper. I also offer to Your Excellency personally the assurance of my own high regard and good wishes.

Wm. H. Taft.
